Better Testing and Postural Rehabilitation

DID YOU KNOW THAT ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CAUSES OF THE PAIN AND STIFFNESS  WE EXPERIENCE AS WE GET OLDER IS DUE TO

CHANGES IN OUR BALANCE?

Changes in our balance cause us to use the wrong muscles in our spine, which can greatly affect the way our spine moves.

Over time this leads to chronic spinal pain, hip girdle pain and stiffness.

Often, we don’t realise that our balance is deteriorating until we have a fall or require a walking aid.

The truth is, for most of us deterioration in our balance is not caused by a specific incident, but by a gradual process over many years.

In fact it commonly starts around 55 years of age.

Did you also know that it is actually preventable if detected early enough?

So How Do You Increase Your

Mobility, Stability, Vitality and Confidence?

… Especially When It’s Been Deteriorating For Awhile, And You Think There Is Nothing That Can Be Done About It?

YOU HAVE YOUR BALANCE MEASURED

  …QUICKLY, ACCURATELY AND NON-INVASIVELY!

 INTRODUCING

OUR UNIQUE FALLS ASSESSMENT AND

BALANCE REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Until recently, there has been no way to measure your stability objectively and precisely without undergoing a Computerised Posturographic Assessment at a specialised balance centre.

We are pioneers in the use of Computered Posturography in physical health care, and have been measuring stability and postural function using our CAPS posturographic system since 2009.

We now have enough data to see first hand the benefits of early detection of balance problems and postural instability.

Most people are unaware they are developing a balance problem.

Balance problems often present initially as stiffness, lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain, or changes in posture.

Computerised Posturography gives us the ability to see in real time the effects of different challenges to your postural stability, which means that we can get a very clear and accurate picture of your individual postural characteristics. This also means that we can develop very specific therapy to meet your exact situation and because we get responses in real time we get immediate feedback as to how effective our treatment is.

What is Computerised Posturography?

Computerised Posturography is simply a very sophisticated scale that measures your downward pressure and how you move on it over time. Assessment is quick and non-invasive, and you can see the results displayed graphically immediately afterwards.

We recommend that everyone 55 years of age and over has an assessment, regardless of how fit they are so that we can get baseline readings, and make recommendations of how to manage your physical health into the future.
