Better Back Program
Almost all mechanical back pain is caused by problems of how you
place your weight when you stand, when you sit and when you move.
Almost all mechanical back pain is caused by problems of how you
place your weight when you stand, when you sit and when you move.
The Better Back Program is designed for people with chronic lower back pain.
Part of the reason back pain becomes chronic, is due to loss of integrity in the control of our posture.
In the first part of this program, we focus on repairing your back by:
- Getting the inflammation down
- Getting your spine moving
- Repairing the soft-tissue damage; and
- Strengthening your spine and improving your flexibility
Then once you are out of pain, we analyse your posture with a tool called computerised posturography which enables us to see how the reflexes that hold you upright respond to different situations. This means we can see the particular postural characteristics in action that have caused your problem, and create specific rehabilitation to address them.
Then finally once we have corrected these habits, we teach you our six principles of posture from our Perfect Posture Program, so that you know how to keep yourself active and pain free in to the future.
If you are in pain right now, book an Initial Consultation below so that we can then advise you on the best course of action.

Not sure if you need to take the Better Balance Program?
Ohe first Wednesday evening of every month, we run an hour long class where we teach the fundamentals of posture.
It’s a FREE CLASS where we explain what posture is, and why it is fundamental to moving well, maintaining good balance and preventing yourself from getting back pain.
This is a knowledge evening not an information evening. By that we mean that by the end of the evening you will have the experience of your natural posture in your body, not just in your head.
These classes are informal and in small groups. Booking is essential.
The difference between this program and other programs is our assessment using computerised posturography which enables us to see your postural habits in action.
